It’s been a crazy year, and with Christmas just around the corner it’s time for the Black Friday weekend to kick off the festive spending and will undoubtedly be offering some of the best deals of the year. While they’re not always the cheapest prices on any given bean to cup coffee machine, Black Friday does tend to offer the biggest range of discounts across the range of manufacturers and models.
Each year, we round up the top deals in the run up to Black Friday on our Best Deals page, and it’s worth noting that prices won’t necessarily fall on Black Friday compared to the ones you can get now. What tends to happen is companies like Amazon will offer some models to cut the price dramatically on, choose some (usually market leading) discounts on others, while the remainder will either stay the same or even increase in price. Why they choose the models they do to discount heavily we don’t know, but it’s probably down to multiple factors like stock availability and which manufacturers are willing to work with them to offer the biggest discounts.
Until the day the sale starts (we believe that’s Thursday 26th November for Amazon this year with two days of deals), we can’t tell you what will be reduced, so if you see a great deal now, we recommend you get it, as it may not be available once the Black Friday weekend arrives for 2020. That’s especially true if you know exactly which machine you want to buy – every year we get emailed to ask if a reader can get a deal that’s expired a day or two earlier, and we are yet to hear of anyone that’s been successful.

When Is Black Friday 2020?
Save the date in your diary – Black Friday 2020 falls on 27th November 2020, with Cyber Monday following on Monday 30th November 2020.
As we said, Amazon’s big days begin 24 hours earlier, from midnight on the morning of Thursday 26th November 2020.
How Big Will The Discounts Be?
As we said, we don’t know for sure until November 27th, but based on previous years, there will be thousands of products reduced on Amazon, and in recent years they’ve always included a coffee machine or two at an incredible price. They’re not always all models that we recommend though, so we advise you to come back and check our write ups if you’re not sure what you want. Act quickly though, there was a Black Friday deal on the Eletta coffee machine that sold out by mid morning a few years back.
Will Prices Fall Further After Black Friday?
Again, there’s no way of knowing definitively what will happen to prices between the black friday weekend and last ordering dates before Christmas. It’s fair to assume that there will still be discounts on offer, and some machines are likely to be available all the way up to those last ordering dates. Conversely, some will probably fall out of stock too so leaving it too long to buy your ideal machine in the hope that the price will drop can be risky if you want it before Christmas.

If you just want an amazing deal and aren’t too fussed if you don’t get a coffee machine by Christmas, then there’s no need to worry about prices going up and down. Just keep your eyes peeled for the discount you’re looking for. That’s a great strategy if you’re not drawn to any particular model and just love a bargain.
