Krups are a reputable brand in the bean to cup world – and recently have greatly expanded their presence in homes across the UK thanks to a much stronger range at competitive pricing on Amazon. They’re not (in our opinion) challenging Delonghi for great value, at least not yet, and for that reason aren’t featuring in our top ten machines on the homepage.
With that said, they do offer a number of very attractive options, which tend to look great, much like those made by Melitta. The type of customer that will find that a Krups machine appeals is someone that’s a bit of a coffee lover but also wants something that looks smart in the kitchen, rather than coffee quality or value for money being the prime objective.
Our Krups Coffee Machine Reviews
Krups make a lot of bean to cup coffee machines, however we’ve yet to see any that stand out enough to spend a lot of time of reviewing those coffee machines. Typically rivals like Delonghi, Sage and Melitta offer something more in the quality and value stakes, which is what we typically hear our readers are looking for. We’ll continue to update this section over time to include more of the Krups models, but at the time of writing (November 2018) we’re limiting that to the ones that are most visible on sites like Amazon and the high street retailers like Currys and Argos.
In this section, we’ll take a look at the Krups bean to cup coffee machine range, and are currently developing full reviews of some of the best selling models.
Krups Evidence EA893840
The Evidence EA893840 is a great choice of machine if you’re looking for something that offers a lot of flexibility in coffee making without needing to have a lot of prior experience. With some machines, like the Sage Barista Express, you’ll need to manually perform a good amount of the coffee making process, whereas with this Krupps machine, it’s loaded with automatic programmes.
Through the use of the supplied milk container, you’ll be able to create milk based coffees like lattes and cappuccinos as well as those for lovers of black coffees like the dedicated espresso and ristretto settings. In our view, the Melitta Caffeo Barista TS and the Delonghi Eletta range are better value for money than this Krups EA893840 model, but if you’re buying for what looks best on your kitchen worktop this is still a reasonable choice. If you get this at a good discount it’s therefore worth considering, but we’d spend a little more on the Melitta or Delonghi if you can afford to do so.
